ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Meet Marvin Chatman
Real Estate Investor. Educator. Entrepreneur.

THE STORY
Ownership shouldn't require a perfect résumé.
Marvin built Keys & Kleats around a simple frustration: the people who most need real estate education are the ones most often shut out of the conversation. Bank language, credit myths and closing-table jargon convince capable people that ownership belongs to someone else.
As an investor, Marvin learned creative financing the hard way — seller financing, subject-to structures, partnerships and lease options — the strategies that make a first deal possible without a large down payment or a traditional mortgage.
Today he teaches those same strategies in plain English to first-time investors, families, students and community organizations. The goal is never a get-rich promise. It is understanding: knowing what a deal is, how it is funded and what ownership actually requires.
That mission extends into schools. When students learn about assets, credit and ownership early, they enter adulthood with options instead of guesswork.
PHILOSOPHY
Ownership Starts With Understanding.
01
Education
Wealth starts with language. We remove the jargon so the process is understandable from day one.
02
Discipline
Consistency beats intensity. The habits that win games are the habits that close deals.
03
Opportunity
Creative financing opens doors that banks keep closed to people without perfect credit.
04
Ownership
Owning an asset changes a family's trajectory far more than a raise ever will.
MARVIN + KAMREN
Real estate education meets athletic discipline.
Keys & Kleats exists at the intersection of two worlds: the investor who understands how ownership works, and the athlete who understands what it takes to show up every day.
Kamren Kinchens brings the credibility of the field and the routine of elite preparation. Marvin brings the mechanics of deals, credit and capital. Together they teach young people that discipline is not just for practice — it is the engine of long-term wealth.
In schools and community rooms, that pairing lands. Students hear about ownership from someone they want to be, and learn how to reach it from someone who has done it.
